Plektó duet

Plektó duet is an ensemble formed by Cypriot musicians Eva Stavrou on flute and Natasa Hadjiandreou on percussion.

The ensemble’s goal is to showcase the work of important composers of the 20th and 21st century to a wide audience, both in Cyprus and abroad, as well as to promote the characteristic timbres and extended techniques of their instruments.

Plektó duet is involved, and very much interested in interdisciplinary projects, with the aim of expanding the boundaries of Art into an ever-changing society. One of their primary aims is educational action since both members, as educators, work on projects that actively involve students in the process of composing and performing musical pieces.

Plektó duet has received grants from competitive calls from the Cyprus Youth Board, the Bank of Cyprus Cultural Foundation and has organized concerts with great success at the Dance House Nicosia, the Cultural Foundation Bank of Cyprus, European University Cyprus and Technopolis20.
